According to him, there was no love and peace among Ghanaians anymore, as there were numerous reports of crime and the shedding of blood each day in the media.

Rev. Dr Sule-Saa, who was preaching at the ordination of 17 ministerial probationers of the PCG at the Ebenezer Congregation of the church in Sunyani, challenged preachers and churches to speak strongly against the act.

The colourful event was led by a former Moderator of the church, Very Rev. Dr Sam Prempeh; the Clerk of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rev. Dr Samuel Ayete-Nyampong; the acting Moderator of the church, Rev. George O. Kwapong, and the Brong Ahafo Presbytery Chairperson of the church, Rev. Dr William Ofosu-Addo.

Rev. Dr Sule-Saa challenged the ordinands to be diligent in the propagation of the gospel.

He also condemned Christians who were chasing modern-day prophets for miracles in their lives but refused to live according to the tenets of Christianity.

On behalf of the ordinands, Rev. Nicholas Odame Ofori said their ordination had come at a time Christianity was losing credibility due to the dubious practices of some self-acclaimed pastors.

According to him, there were many spiritual activities in the society, yet social vices were on the ascendancy in the form of corruption, armed robbery, killing of innocent souls and insults on electronic media and political platforms.

“It will be of interest to note that such people who are into these social vices, when asked of their religious affiliation, will affirm Christianity because they are found in our congregations,” he stated.
