What this site is

Ghana Artisans is a directory. We help customers find artisans and put the two in contact. We are not a party to any job, we do not employ the artisans listed here, and we do not supervise, guarantee, or insure the work they carry out.

Agreements are between you and the artisan

Any price, timeline, or arrangement is agreed directly between the customer and the artisan. Payment for work is made directly to the artisan. We do not hold funds, process job payments, or act as an escrow. If a dispute arises over work or payment, it is between those two parties to resolve.

Satisfy yourself before hiring

A verified badge means an administrator has seen a Ghana Card matching the name on the listing. It confirms identity. It is not a check of skill, licensing, insurance, or past conduct, and it is not a recommendation.

Before hiring, ask for references, confirm any licence a trade requires by law, agree the price in writing, and take the ordinary precautions you would with any tradesperson. This is especially important for electrical, gas, structural, and borehole work, where poor workmanship is dangerous.

Artisan obligations

By listing on Ghana Artisans you confirm that: the identity details you provide are your own and are accurate; you hold any licence or certification the law requires for your trade; the photographs you upload show work you personally carried out; and you will deal honestly with customers.

Listings may be suspended or removed for false information, photographs taken from someone else’s work, impersonation, harassment, or conduct that puts customers at risk.

Reviews

Reviews are written by visitors and reflect their opinions, not ours. We may remove reviews that are abusive, obviously fabricated, or posted to damage a competitor, but we do not verify each one and we cannot guarantee their accuracy.

Paid membership

Where paid membership is offered, it improves how prominently a listing appears and raises upload limits. It does not guarantee enquiries, work, or income. Fees are stated before payment. Set out your refund position here before charging anyone.

Availability

We aim to keep the site running but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Features may change.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss, damage, injury, or cost arising from work arranged through this site, from the conduct of any artisan or customer, or from reliance on information in a listing. Have a lawyer confirm this clause is enforceable in Ghana before relying on it.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
