AshantiGold coach CK Akonnor deserved to lose at home against Elmina Sharks at home on Sunday.

The Miners saw their seven-match unbeaten run crash at the Len Clay in a shock 2-1 reverse to the struggling newcomers.

”I am very disappointed. My boys where not tactical disciplined and we struggled with our play and a lot of things didn’t work for us,” Akunnor said in a post match interview.

”Defensively we didn’t do well, in the midfield we were weak but we have to accept our defeat, Sharks have really surprised us and we have to go back to drawing board and came back strong next time.”
