Konadu pleased with quality after warm up win over Togo Featured

Black Stars team B lead trainer Maxwell Konadu endorsed the quality of personnel at his disposal after he managed to steer Ghana to a 2-1 victory in a preparation match against the local Hawks of Togo.

The Stade De Kague in Lome played host to the match, which according to Konadu was to serve as the perfect scenario ahead of Ghana’s opening CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou on the weekend of 11-13 of August.

Ghana grabbed goals in either half through Richmond Lamptey and Daniel Lomotey, with Issifou Bourhana managing to pull one back for the Togolese.

The gaffer appeared pleased with the effort put in by his lads on the day.

“Even though we won, it was a very tough match for us.

“The Togolese made the match very difficult for us.

“We can not over look the quality in our side and I think the boys are doing really well.

“We want to carry on the lessons from this game into the match against Burkina Faso,”he told a gathering of pressmen after the match.

Ghana has recorded 7 wins and 2 draws in the warm up games played so far.
