They won the admiration of many when they collaborated on Best In Me and I’m In Love with You in 2012 and it seems the duo of Efya and Sarkodie have a better offer for their fans this year.
For some months now, the award winning artistes and arguably two of Ghana’s finest musicians have been working on Jorley, a new song which was officially released on Wednesday, August 5.
Produced by Kill Beatz, the song owned by Efya is another love piece that talks about the special feeling and the two take turns to profess their love for each other.
“Love is a special thing that is why I love to talk about it in my songs,” Efya told Showbiz last week Monday.
“Jorley is to shower praises on the special persons in our lives who make life beautiful for us and make us feel on top of the world”, she added.
Rendered in Twi, French, Ga and English, Jorley, an afro pop piece explores love and its intricacies. While Efya sings about partners treating their partners right, Sarkodie comes in to preach about the need for partners to stay faithful to each other.
It might not be the first time the two are collaborating on a song but already, Efya said she is excited about the positive feedback from “industry experts” who have reviewed the song.
There’s no doubt that they make a good pair on a song and the Gingam Too Much artiste didn’t hide her huge admiration for Sarkodie when she was asked how the latter impacted the song.
“Ghanaians are the judges of Efya and Sarkodie’s collaborations. Best In Me and I’m In Love With You is evidence of our good works. Sarkodie is phenomenal and the chemistry we share always works perfectly,” she stated.
Known for songs such as Little Things, Best In Me, Forgetting Me, Life and Gingam Too Much, Efya performed with Nigerian artistes, Banky W and Ice Prince at Sarkodie’s History In The Making concert which came off in Atlanta, USA, on Saturday, August 8.
